1) Delivery at Scale

Leadership

I led a delivery initiative across internal marketing and design teams, third-party agencies, and DoorDash.

Scale

We integrated DoorDash's API into Taco Bell's delivery experience, designing for an environment with approximately 5,000 active users at a time.

2) One Order, Many Entry Points

Channels

The experience had to support pickup, delivery through DoorDash, delivery through the Taco Bell app, and delivery through the website.

Fulfillment

Location selection and fulfillment choices had to be clear before the customer committed to an order.

3) Map the Edge Cases

Coverage

I worked across the full user cycle, including guest and returning customers, pickup check-in, delivery instructions, and changes along the way.

Coordination

We mapped these branches together so one team's decision would not create a blocker elsewhere in the journey.

4) Coordinate the Handoffs

Integration

The API integration connected the customer-facing ordering experience to DoorDash delivery.

Handoffs

I coordinated the design across organizational boundaries, keeping destination, checkout, confirmation, and delivery progress connected.

5) Keep Customers Informed

Need

After payment, customers still needed to understand what was happening.

Tracking

Tracking states, arrival estimates, maps, and order details carried the experience through preparation, pickup, and delivery.

6) A Connected Delivery Experience

Delivery

The work brought multiple ordering channels and fulfillment paths into a connected delivery experience.

Evidence

The scale and edge-case coverage are central to this story; uptime and conversion claims will be added only when the project records support them.
